Ayah Learn Privacy Policy

Effective August 24, 2026

Ayah Learn is part of Ayah Apps and is operated by Nowari Solutions. This policy explains what the app stores, synchronizes, and shares.

Summary

  • You can use Ayah Learn without an account.
  • If you sign in, memorization progress, review status, XP, streak, level, and daily goal progress synchronize through Ayah Account.
  • Private microphone recordings remain on your device and are not uploaded, transcribed, graded, or shared.
  • Ayah Learn does not include advertising SDKs, sell personal information, or track you across apps and websites.
  • A problem report is sent only when you deliberately submit one.

Information stored on your device

Ayah Learn stores app settings and learning information locally so lessons work and can continue offline. This may include your selected reciter, current lesson, per-ayah attempts, review queue, XP, streak, daily path, downloaded recitation data, microphone permission state, and private recitation recordings.

Removing app data or uninstalling the app may permanently remove device-only information, recordings, and account changes that have not synchronized.

Optional Ayah Account and synchronization

Ayah Player, Ayah Learn, and Ayah Studio use one Ayah Account identity. Authentication is provided by WorkOS. Ayah Learn receives an internal account identifier, email address, profile name, and any profile photo you choose. Each app keeps its own secure session; using one identity does not give Learn access to Player's local app storage.

When you sign in, the Ayah Apps service synchronizes Learn-owned per-ayah attempt counts and practice status plus a summary containing XP, streak, derived level, completed daily steps, daily goal, and last-practice day. Player-owned bookmarks, notes, collections, listening, and reading records are preserved but are not changed by Learn.

Guest progress is offered for import only when the account has no existing Learn records. Signing out immediately returns the app to guest state and hides the signed-in workspace. Signing into another account restores only that account's Learn records.

Microphone and private recordings

Ayah Learn requests microphone access only when you start a recitation recording. Recordings are stored in the app's private local storage for listen-back. The current app does not upload, transcribe, analyze, grade, or share microphone audio. Cloud processing would require a separate consent and retention design before it could be introduced.

Qur'an text, recitations, timing, and downloads

Ayah Learn includes Qur'an text and learning resources and connects to external providers when it streams or downloads recitation audio, timing, fonts, images, or other credited content. Providers may receive ordinary network-request information such as your IP address, user agent, and requested resource. Ayah Learn does not control their server logs or privacy practices.

Optional problem reports

If you deliberately submit a problem report, the app sends the report over HTTPS. It may include your message, report type, platform, app version, selected locale, and relevant reciter, surah, audio source, audio URL, current value, or suggested value.

The reporting service stores the report, a one-way hash derived from network information for spam prevention, and the user agent. It does not store the raw IP address or attach an advertising identifier. Reports are not automatically linked to your Ayah Account.

Permissions

  • Internet: loads recitation and learning resources, synchronizes an optional Ayah Account, and sends reports you choose to submit.
  • Microphone: records your private local recitation only when you start recording.
  • Media playback and notifications: provide recitation playback and controls where supported.

Analytics and advertising

The current app does not include advertising SDKs or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs. It does not use personal information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Children

Ayah Learn supports general Qur'an learners but is not directed specifically at children. A parent or guardian should supervise account creation and microphone use where required by applicable law. The app does not knowingly collect a child's age, school, contacts, or location.

Retention, export, and deletion

Local data remains until you remove it in the app or device settings. Account profile and synchronized Learn records remain while the account exists. From Ayah Account in the app, you can export the stored account record or delete the account. You can also request Ayah Account deletion on the web if you no longer have the app. Account deletion removes the identity, sessions, profile, and synchronized records from the Ayah Apps service, subject to short operational backups or records required for security and legal compliance. Device-only recordings remain until you remove them or clear app data.

Security

Ayah Learn minimizes collection, uses the system browser and PKCE for sign-in, stores app session credentials in platform-protected storage, and uses encrypted HTTPS for services it controls. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Changes

Updates will be published at this permanent URL. Material changes affecting app data will also be reflected in the app or store listing as appropriate.
